![]() ![]() I also admittedly wondered if Rainbow had this in mind when she wrote about Simon and Baz after the White Chapel. He was right I’d never thought about it that way before he wrote about it, and it broke my heart. ![]() The ability to do it freely and openly is difficult, and those who do it do so courageously. He said that, for queer folks, holding hands in public can place a target on your back. He said holding hands in public–a simple act most cishet people never give a second thought to–is a sacred gesture to him and other members of the LGBTQ+ community. Carry On by the Art: A close gay friend of mine posted something to his facebook during Pride a couple of years ago that has stuck with me ever since. Dating Simon Snow hasn’t been the erotic grope fest I’d always imagined–so far, it’s a lot of sitting in silence and thousand-yard stares–but we do hold hands almost all the time.” “I’ve become very familiar with his hands. Title: “Holding Hands” (A special silent strip for Pride 2019.) It’s short now, but I can live vicariously through Simon for a bit… simon snow baz pitch carry on rainbow rowell snowbaz two kisses chapter 62 deleted scene vkelleyart gallery PS: Baz’s hair is based on my husband’s when we were married. (*wink* See what I did there?)Īnyway, I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I loved drawing it. And the last page shows Simon and Baz falling into each other’s arms out of frame, with flames dominating the end shot. ![]() For this reason, I largely left words out of it and tried to render the format in a way that makes it feel like you’re… descending. That said, artistically, I tried to evoke the sensation of falling in love. Given how Simon had used the cross earlier in the novel to drive separation between him and Baz, I like to think that taking it off himself was, in part, a romantic gesture - a symbolic dismantling of that last wall between them. Baz, Chapter 62, Carry On by Rainbow Rowell (His cross is on the other side of the room now. However, rather than pull swaths of text from the chapter, I decided to zero in on one little snippet: It’s definitely a difficult adaptation (hello 12 panels of victorian bedroom), so it’ll be a while yet before I’m finished with that one. But anyhoo…Ībout the art: Chapter 62 was the second most requested portion of Carry On for adaptation into a graphic novel format. Before I forget, ”No one’s seducing a vampire” is still in production. Sorry this is so enormous and likely clogging up your feed this morning. ![]() ![]() What particularly fascinated me were the dwarf planets and minor planets. But before I even tweaked a single albedo slider, I spent a good few hours just zipping about the solar system using the ample number of visualisation tools to examine the relative orbits and velocities of the bodies therein. ![]() You can click on any body within it and bring up a panel which will allow you to modify everything from its semi-major axis to its argument of periapsis and a whole host of other things that don’t sound like erectile dysfunctions. In fact, the sort of anarchic fun described above takes second place to the simple examination of how our solar system actually works. It’s easy to use, beautifully tutorialised, and hugely fascinating. What happens when you fire a teapot which is ten times larger than the sun through the heart of the solar system? Or if hapless scientists inadvertently create a black hole on Mars? What does the collision of two galaxies look like? Or the Earth being hit by a tennis ball the size of our own moon? Universe Sandbox 2 gives you the tools to run all such simulations in a level of depth which is at least superficially convincing and informative. I can do loads of other things too, and the inhabitants of Earth will rarely thank me for them. But it’s not nearly fast enough: the two suns can’t resist one another, conjoining violently to make a sweet fiery love that rapidly engulfs the core planets of the solar system, gobbling up the the Kuiper belt and spreading turquoise tendrils into the interstellar dark that lies beyond. Mars decides Venus had the right idea, and legs it. Mercury plunges directly into the heart of Hot Earth and is consumed utterly. At 74.5 Jupiters, it becomes a molten glowing ball, and soon thereafter an actual sun, albeit a tenth of the mass of the system’s normal sun - which is nonetheless swerving through space as the two bodies waltz around one another. Earth’s surface temperature now exceeds 500 degrees centigrade. ![]() Venus is gravity-slapped clear out of the solar system. When it hits a mass equivalent to 42 Jupiters, it begins to ignite, stripes of brilliant orange encircling the gloomy swirling globe. Moments later, Earth completes its transformation from happy blue-green habitation to gigantic blue-grey death vortex. Somewhere, I like to think, some semi-sentient hemorrhoid is honking about the myth of global enbiggenment just before being crushed to death by his own skull, which has become 35 times heavier than it was earlier that day. The planet swells further, its own rotation slowing and slowing. Venus gets a bit too interested, spiralling after Earth then twisting away at the last moment, like an unsuccessful pickpocket. What happens is that, as Earth reaches a mass equivalent to Jupiter - 318 times that of Earth’s normal mass - the orbits of other planets begin to distort alarmingly. Where is all the weight coming from? It’s as if some malevolent god had discovered Earth’s settings panel and decided to yank up the mass slider, just to see what happens. ![]() Hour by hour, it just keeps putting on mass. ![]() Otherwise known as Universe Sandbox², if you’re the kind of terrible prick who insists on using Character Map to enforce your brand. This week he has become death, destroyer of worlds, and really quite a lot of moons as well, in Universe Sandbox 2. Each week Marsh Davies orbits the supermassive blackhole that is Early Access and comes back with any stories he can find or gets shredded to subatomic spaghetti as he tumbles towards a point of infinite mass. ![]() ![]() ![]() Surgery_Ch1_04_A Review from Head to Toe Pelvic Fractures Urologic Injuries and Extremities.flv Surgery_Ch1_02_A Review from Head to Toe Head and Neck Trauma Spinal Cord Injuries.flv Surgery_Ch3_05_Postop Complications Fluids and Electrolytes.flv Surgery_Ch4_05_Diseases of the Gastrointestinal System The Biliary Tract.flv Surgery_Ch11_01_Vascular Diseases and Brain Tumors.flv Surgery_Ch4_08_Diseases of the Breast.flv Surgery_Ch1_01 Initial Survey (The ABCs).flv Surgery_Ch1_03_A_Review_from_Head_to_Toe_Chest_and_Abdominal_Trauma.flv 05 01_Major Depressive Disorder (Major Depression).flv OB_Chpt05-B-2nd Trimester Laboratory Tests.flvĠ2 Appearances of Common Disorders on Chest X-Rays.flvĠ5 Central Nervous System Visualization.flvĠ7 Scaling Disorders Eczema Papulosquamous Dermatitis.flvĬh 01 03 Physical Exam Variants and Abnormal Findings.flvĬh 11 02 Abnormalities of the Eye Structures.flvĬh 04 02 Primitive Reflexes and Developmental Milestones.flv OB_Chpt01-B-Physiologic Changes in Pregnancy.flv Gyn_ch.07_01_Pelvic Inflammatory Disease.flvĠ5 Obstructive Diseases Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).flvĠ6 Obstructive Diseases Bronchiectasis.flvĠ1 Ch.1 - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.flvġ9 Ch.5 - Anaphylaxis, Bites and Stings.flvĠ7 Genital Infections and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).flvġ1 Complications of Diabetes Mellitus.flvĠ2 Diseases of the Anterior Pituitary.flvĠ3 Diseases of the Posterior Pituitary.flvĠ1 Approach to the Patient With Acute Chest Pain Chest Discomfort.flvĠ6 Myocardial and Pericardial Disease.flvĠ3 Glomerulonephritis Nephritic Syndrome.flvĠ2 Acute Renal Failure Tubulointerstitial Disease.flvĠ1 Acute Renal Failure Prerenal and Postrenal.flvĠ5 Diagnostic Testing in Renal Disease.flvĠ4 Glomerulonephritis Nephrotic Syndrome.flvĠ1 Evaluating a Patient with Arthrtis and Rheumatic Disease.flvĠ5 Hypertension, Diabetes, Mellitus, and Hypercholesterolemia.flv Gyn_ch.05_05_Postmenopausal Pelvic Mass.flv 03 01_Eth and Legal Selected Important Court Cases.flv 03 04_Phy Patient Rules 1-10.flvĮpidemiology ch. 01 02_Incidence_and_Prevalence.flvĮpidemiology ch. 02 02_Descriptive Statistics.flvĮpidemiology ch. 02 03_Inferential_Statistics_Part_I.flvĮpidemiology ch. 03 03_Eth and Legal Rules for Exam 11-20.flvĮpidemiology ch. 01 10_Study Designs Bias in Research.flvĮpidemiology ch. 03 02_Eth and Legal Rules for Exam 1-10.flvĮpidemiology ch. 01 08_Study Designs Observational Studies.flvĮpidemiology ch. 01 07_Understanding_Screening_Tests.flvĮpidemiology ch.
